I’ve come across several life-changing books in my travels, but TFR was the first, and perhaps the most inspirational.ĭuring her visit, I somehow found the nerve to ask if she would do an interview with me. ![]() In fact, that book changed the way I viewed myself as a gay man, and it inspired me to want to write gay-themed fiction. Like most gay men of my generation, I have been a fan of her writing since the early eighties when I first read The Front Runner.
